Debian Embraces Responsible AI
Debian developers have voted to allow the “Responsible Use of Generative AI” for software development and documentation. While AI tools are permitted to boost productivity, contributors remain fully accountable for the technical quality and legal compliance of their submissions, and blind acceptance of AI-generated code is strictly prohibited.
